Kelly Fussell currently studies with Humbert Lucarelli at the Hartt School while working to obtain her Master's degree in oboe performance. She formerly studied with oboist, Bo Newsome, at East Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor's degree as well as a Certificate in Advanced Performance Studies. She is also currently working as a freelance oboist and is in the process of expanding her reed-making business.
The make of EB Pro reeds is a former student of Alex Klein and Humbert Lucarelli. He is an experienced orchestral musician and soloist, and has performed in many important venues of South and North America and Europe. He has taken master classes with highly esteemed conservatory professors from all over the world.
Meg Cassell of Good Tone Guild Double Reeds has been a professional oboist since 1980 and has over 25 years of reed-making experience. She has degrees in oboe performance from the University of Oregon and from Yale University, and was a two time Fulbright Scholarship recipient to Germany. From 1985-97, Meg was Principal Oboe of the Hofer Symphoniker in Germany and from 1997-2001, Meg played Oboe II and EH with the Florida West Coast Symphony. After a few years in California, Meg now lives again in Florida.
Pisoni Reeds are commercially-made reeds made in Italy. The EH reeds are made with a French-style scrape.
